Retracee: last updated 2026-08-09

Retracee is a photo-angle scavenger hunt. You find the spot a photograph was taken from, line up the same shot, and collect the badge. This page explains exactly what that involves collecting, why, and how to get rid of it.

What is collected

What is not collected

Who else sees it

Where it lives, and for how long

Data is held on a server in the European Union and kept while your account exists. Delete your account and it goes: see below.

Deleting your account

In the app: Profile → Delete my account. This immediately and permanently removes your account, email, password, collected badges, votes, reports, cosmetics and any submissions still awaiting review.

One thing is kept: badges you submitted that are already live. Other players have those in their collections, and removing them would take away progress from people who did nothing. They are unlinked from you first: after deletion nothing connects them to your account, and the "submitted by" credit disappears.

Without the app: delete your account from this website. It works even if you have uninstalled Retracee or can no longer sign in. We email you a link to confirm, and nothing is removed until you open it.

You can also email mireludev@gmail.com and ask.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, export or erase your data, and to object to its processing. Email mireludev@gmail.com and it will be handled.

Children

Retracee is not intended for children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.
